If you want to learn or practice Kitesurf in Colombia you have to visit la Guajira. One of the best Kite Spots in Colombia is Mayapo. The beaches of Mayapo are located 25 km from Riohacha. Thanks to its position further north the wind usually starts 1-2 hours earlier than in Riohacha and with smaller waves. The extensive white sanded beach is perfect for lessons and for riding, as it offers a huge space for a lot of riders.
